The Malaysian COVID-19 informational and tracing app, MySejahtera, just got an update today. In addition to some quality of life improvements and changes in terminology, the app now has a Hotspot Tracker.

The new feature lets users check the COVID-19 risk level of an area. Pick your current location or search for a place to know its risk level. Sites with an infection nearby in the last 14 days would trigger a warning.

It seems that the feature is not fully baked yet. It uses the Google Maps API, which is not cheap, and as it is, it is not as useful as an overall heat map of high-risk areas.
