Did The New Firmware Makes Airpods Pro Good Again

Recently my Airpods Pro sounded good again and I don’t think it’s just my imagination. The noise cancellation actually works better, the sound is actually clearer, and I am actually looking forward to using it every day now.

According to reports, and checking my own device, Apple released the new 2D15 for the Airpods Pro a few days ago. Of course there were no release notes and no announcements. This leaves most users skeptical as previous firmware updates were less than stellar. It also doesn’t help that the updates happen “automagically” without the user’s  involvement or consent.

I thought it was all a placebo effect until I took a drive with my Airpods Pro on, earlier today. I know, it’s not recommended nor a safe practice, but the noise cancellation makes me feel like I’m driving a more expensive car. And you know what? My car did sound better, in fact, I didn’t hear the typical engine noises at all.

Previously the active noise cancelling was not this through and I could still hear certain ranges of the engine noise. But not any more.

I also started wearing them while cooking and at the dining table because I cannot stand the local TV drama that my family loves to watch at dinner.
