The sequel game that no one really asked for is getting a Limited Edition DUALSHOCK4 Wireless Controller and Limited Edition Wireless Headset on 19 June, alongside the release of the game. The announcement was made by Sony Interactive Entertainment Singapore Private Limited.

The RM279 limited edition wireless controller will have a steel black matte finish with white detailing and PlayStation shapes. It also features Ellie’s fern tattoo engraved on the lower right-hand side and “The Last of Us Part II” logo on the touchpad.

For RM499, the limited edition wireless headset comes in a matching steel black matte finish and contrasting crimson inner ear cups. It is also embellished with Ellie’s fern tattoo and the game logo.
I have the same feeling about The Last Of Us as I have about Stranger Things. It should have ended at part/season one. The story was completed with enough closure to satisfy and was open-ended enough for the world to continue on in our imagination.
However, unlike Stranger Things, The Last Of Us Part II is plagued by issues like leaks and people having a problem with sexual preferences being a factor in the sequel game’s narrative.
Honestly though, why is sex always a plot during an apocalyptic event. Like in that movie A Quiet Place. Seriously. The Last Of Us is set in a world where a fungus turns people into people biting fungi zombies and humanity has turned unreliable. Boinking, heterosexual or otherwise, should be the last thing on anyone’s mind.
Anyway, I’ll just wait for the reviews. I am happy with where the original game ended. But, if the game is good, I might consider the Digital Standard Edition (MYR 239). No need for the Digital Deluxe Edition (MYR 299). But, if the game is so bad it’s good, I will just watch a “Let’s Play” video of it instead.
