Like many gamers stuck at home despite the CMCO, I have been eyeing that Nintendo Switch. The price tag of one of those in Malaysia is around RM2,000, and that is for the basic model and if you’re lucky.
Now along came the Sony Interactive Entertainment Singapore Private Limited (SIES) with the announcement of this year’s Days of Play sale.
From 3 to 16 June, you can get a Playstation 4 1TB Mega Pack for RM1,099. Add RM300 to that, and you can get the PlayStation 4 Pro 1TB bundle for RM1,399. Both sets come with games, good ones too.
Need another controller? That’s RM179 instead of RM239.

Want more games? Sony is selling them for as low at RM55. Granted that two of these games come with the sets mentioned above and the other two were given away to PlayStation Plus members previously. But, hey, you can play Spider-Man for RM119. Its the best game on the list in my opinion.

On top of all that you can get an extra 4-months for the purchase of 12-months of PS Plus Membership Cards at a retail store. Those cost approximately RM159. If you are not getting Spider-Man, I recommend you get the membership instead, even if you don’t play online. It gets you at least a free game every month, as long as you keep your membership.
Here’s the thing, as tempting as it is to get a Switch and play Animal Crossing or the upcoming Paper Mario: The Origami King, getting a PS4 during the Days of Play, is the smarter choice. That is unless you don’t have a monitor or TV to play it on. In that case, the Nintendo is way cheaper to start with.
