This was a fun assignment, although a slow one. The doctor was understandably always busy, so we ended up doing the interview via email. The replies were slow and far between, but it got done in the end, and when it did, it felt good.
One of my senior writers even texted me and said the story was good. But I admitted that I cheated a little. You see, there is a pattern to the story. Every paragraph that I write is a sort of iteration of that the doctor said. It is a fun trick because it is unconcise, but people seem to like it. That double beat is comfortable reading.
Many professionals have taken to creating content on digital platforms. What’s great about this is that their information is true and comes from a point of authority. This is the type of content that can enrich and add to the collective knowledge.
Most of the entertainment on digital platforms are empty calories. And it is informative and authoritative content like this that changed my mind about YouTube all those years ago. Previously I just thought it was a cesspool of mindless entertainment, it still is, and now it has gotten worse with misinformation and fakes. That said, the genuine information that is contained in there is invaluable and worth diving into. Even if you have to swim through all that sewage.
