I’d like to think that Apple made my birthday that much more special this year by announcing the new Apple Watches and iPads with fitness features and subscriptions. However, not all of it is relevant to everyone, more specifically for us in Malaysia who were celebrating Malaysia day on that very same day.
This is because, as much as Apple try their best, not all of their services are available everywhere. Take the ECG and Apple pay for example. We still don’t have them while our neighbour to the South, does.
Singapore is even getting the LumiHealth app, a program designed by the Singapore’s Health Promotion Board as a part of the country’s Smart Nation initiative, the result of the cooperation between the government of Singapore and Apple.
The goal is to keep Singaporean healthy and active. The program even has monetary rewards and incentives.
I know this is not directly relevant to Malaysians, but I am a bit envious that they got the program.
