They are known as the creators of the Horizon Chase series, a mobile arcade racer that takes inspiration from the third person arcade racers from yesteryear. I played Horizon Chase – World Tour on iOS, and it is fun but flawed.
Now, the Brazilian game developer who also made Loony Toons World of Mayhem will release a puzzle adventure game on Apple Arcade.
Each level is a screen-sized diorama that can be filled with challenges, enemies, puzzles, and platforms to traverse. There are adventure elements such as shops and hidden treasures as well.
What sets Wonderbox apart, in addition to its cartoonish looks, is its Creator Mode where players are given all the tools they need, from terrain and NPCs, to enemies and items, to encounters and more, to create their own worlds, puzzles, and levels.
Players can then publish and share their creations to other players around the world. On top of that, up to flour players can band together and go on an adventure together.
From the description and pictures, Wonderbox reminds me of Captain Toad Treasure Tracker, but with extra bits and a level creator.
I’m interested in trying out this game for myself. However I hope that Aquiris will not leave the game feeling unfinished as they did with Horizon Chase – World Tour.
