This was a challenging story to do, not because it was a difficult story, but because I had to do it in this format. Lai was very accommodating. Although we did not meet face to face, he shared with me stories and helped me tell his story.

Someone like him, who has done so much at such a young age, has a story to tell. However, it was better suited told in a feature, and not like how it did here. The format was too simplistic and too limiting.

I hope that one day I can do justice to Lai’s story, how he got to where he is today and the lessons he has learned along the way.
