Is Apple One still worth it without Apple Fitness+

I was excited when Apple officially announced the Apple One plan last month. We knew it was coming, but we were not sore what will the package be like and what’s in it, especially here in Malaysia.

When they talked about Apple Fitness+, I was pumped. Heck yeah, I wanted this. To be able to work out at home, in private and have the Apple Watch monitor my stats.  Sign me up. If I’m going to suffer trying to get fit, I’d rather do it in the comfort of my own hideout.

However, unlike our southern neighbour who has Apple Pay, EGC on their Apple watch, and a whole government endorsed fitness program, it looks like Malaysia is not getting Apple Fitness+.

What we got is two tiers of Apple One: Individual and Family.

For RM19.90 a month, Apple One Individual gets us Apple Music, Apple tv+ Apple Arcade, and 50GB of Apple iCloud storage. That is a bargain. I’m paying RM 19.90 just for one of those services, but to get them all for the same price, that’s awesome.

However, for RM33.90 a month, Apple One Family gets us Apple music, Apple tv+, Apple Arcade, and 200GB of Apple iCloud storage for up to 5 people in a family. If you and someone else in your family use an Apple device, this is the package to get. That 200GB of storage alone is worth the subscription.

According to all official sources, Apple One is coming later this year to Malaysia. There are only two months left. I hope it’s available soon, I want to start saving on those subscriptions.
