Folk Rocker Azmyl Yunor, one of the most underrated musicians in Malaysia recently released Padah, a song from his latest album, John Bangi Blues on YouTube. This is probably my favourite song in the album.

I first heard this song when he previewed it while busking at Publika, Kuala Lumpur, and I instantly loved the song. In a single song, of ten verses, Azmyl summarises some of the prevalent but neglected issues that all Malaysians experience.

At it’s core it talks about how people are being manipulated by others, from politicians to businesses. And he doesn’t point the finger outward. The problems are from within.
