His journey into music began 15 years ago when he formed the band Pistah Few andy joined the Gang Starz reality show. Although they were not chosen to see the competition to the end, Patrick Namasivayam Seshashi continued refining his art of performing, songwriting, and producing music under several monikers.

That was the original first paragraph that I wrote for this story. It contained a condensed history of Shesha’s journey, hinted at his many names, and made sense of his comment about being in a reality show later in the story. It was a promise to the rader that I will take you with me as he recounts his journey. It was cut.

The interview was done via Google Meet thanks to a contact from a previous story. Turns out this was Shesha’s first interview and published story under the new name.

His experience and knowledge of the music industry is vast and his perspective as a Tamil hip hop artist is unique. It took me a while to find a lead to the story. He talked about how diversity in Malaysian music is natural rarely highlighted. how the country is full of untapped young talents that lack the support and exposure that they need.
