Today, Malaysia’s national COVID-19 contact tracing app received a major update. Available on all major smartphone platforms, the update added the ability to register for and get more information about the COVID-19 vaccination program.

Firstly, make sure your My Sejahtera app is up to date. How? It differs between platforms, but the option will be in the app store of your device. The ‘COVID-19 Vaccination’ option will not appear unless you do so. 

This new option lets you get the latest updates about the vaccination programme, get more information about the vaccine, and most importantly, making sure your personal information, such as full name, IC number, and My Sejahtera ID (your phone number), is accurate. This is to ensure that you can be contacted and be accounted for when it is your turn to get the vaccination.

Once that is done, all we can do is wait and maybe read up.
