This was an assignment. I would not be able to write this story on my own initiative because of the idiotor’s “no followup” policy. If you did something newsworthy more than once a year or two, good luck trying to get into the paper.

Although I am glad this story came out, It could have been better. About 80% of the story is background based on my previous interviews with Ayez and news that is already out there. It didn’t feel good as a story. 

Ayez was busy filming at the time, and could not sit down with me for a full interview. He was literally burning the candle on both ends to make this movie happen. And I respect that. He just launched his new wrestling promotion, he had to put his dreams of wrestling for a promotion in the US on hold because of the pandemic, and he is diving headfirst into producing a movie.

In the end, it was the best I could do for the story. The idiotor would not understand that a story like this cannot be rushed. I needed time for this to develop. Wait until the Ayez has some free time, perhaps visit the set. But the ignorance of an unqualified and inexperienced idiotor knows no bounds.
