Like an old friend, Infantino visits his sculptures strewn all across the city whenever he could. He would talk to them, see how they are doing, and enjoy each other’s company. Creator and creation.
Every steel titan stands guard to inspire those who gaze upon it at key properties owned by Sunway. Infantino credited and profusely thanked the patronage of Sunway Group founder and chairman Tan Sri Dr Jeffrey Cheah for enabling him.
Each giant metal sculpture is made by Infantino’s own hands. Each galvanized with his blood sweat and tears. Each containing a piece of his soul.
Whenever he builds, Infantino shares milestones of his process on digital platforms and accompany it with words to motivate, encourage, and inspire.
He has not said much about his current creation and only hints at its theme of community and a reflection of the year we have all gone through. At 42, the aches and pains have caught up with him, visits to the chiropractor have become essential.
It may take months or years before we see another sculpture erected at a Sunway property, but when it comes to his work, it is always worth the wait.
