Apple Arcade blew up with 30 new games

A mobile game that has no ads, no in-app purchases, and has high privacy standards is a diamond in a the rough. But Apple Arcade has more than 180 of them, all of them under one all-inclusive subscription with access for up to six family members.

Well, it just got better because Apple just added two new categories and 30 new games to the service. Some are new and some are classics. Together they add some much-needed mobile centric games the catalogue.

But the move also splinters the Apple Arcade catalogue in two. Arcade Originals, beautiful new games that are more kin to console games, are playable across iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV.  Timeless Classics and App Stores, games that made it big on mobile, are available on iPhone and iPad.

Timeless Classics includes titles like “Good Sudoku by Zach Gage,” “Chess – Play & Learn,” and “Backgammon”. App Store Greats includes “Threes!,” “Mini Metro,” and “Fruit Ninja Classic”. All ad-free and fully unlocked.

Some of new Arcade Originals games include “NBA 2K21 Arcade Edition,” “Simon’s Cat: Story Time,” “Star Trek: Legends,” “The Oregon Trail,” “Cut the Rope Remastered,” and “SongPop Party”.

Apple Arcade is free for three months if you purchase a new iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or Apple TV.

However, the availability of some of these games depends on the region. For example, FANTASIAN, the highly anticipated RPG by Mistwalker Corp. release date is listed as 2021 April 16.
