I never understood these Sony X-Series speakers. They are big and loud, visually and audibly, perfect for events and gatherings I guess, but we won’t have any of those for a while longer. Still, Sony seems to think that there is potential in that market and released three new X- Series speakers.

The large SRS-XP700, the medium SRS-XP500, and the small SRS-XG500 are designed to share music in an indoor and outdoor environment.

Despite their size, the X-Series speakers are made to sound big with thumping MEGA BASS while being relatively portable, battery powered, and water resistant. The amount of water resistance differs with each mode.

There are inputs for microphone and guitar so these Sony X-Series speakers would be perfect for buskers too. USB ports provide charging and connectivity as well.

If you prefer wireless, all three speakers are Bluetooth compatible. Just for laughs, you can connect up to 100 of these compatible speakers together and get all the lights and sounds to sync together.

The SRS-XB700, SRS-XB500, and SRS-XG500 will be available in Malaysia from July 2021.
