Apple announced the anticipated new iPad Pro with a shared video presentation and an Apple Newsroom post. You can check the overview for it there.
The update was inevitable when the iPad Air crept up on the iPad Pro territory with an M1 chip.
With an M2 chip, the same silicone that’s on the MacBook Air, the iPad Pro gives the option for creatives, such as those who edit videos and photos, a more portable and tactile alternative to a laptop.
One of the features touted was the ability to record video in ProRes. I know directors would appreciate to view footage on a large screen especially on the Liquid Retina XDR display of the 12.9-in iPod Pro. But it’s really too big to be a practical camera.
I also think that a lot of professionals would appreciate the Wi-Fi 6E compatibility, not just those who work with large files. That additional speed and responsiveness is just welcomed overall.
That Apple Pencil Hover feature however, will require some real world testing.
Still, what will make the iPad Pro a killer product is how it just fits into a workflow by providing overwhelming potential though Pro Features and iOS16.
We still do not know when the new iPad Pro will be available in Malaysia, but we do know that prices start at RM3,899 for the 11-inch and RN5,399 for the 12.9-inch.
