Apple Music had time-synced lyrics since 2019 when it was first introduced. The feature displays the lyrics to compatible songs line by line.
But recently,Apple announced that it is going to release Apple Music Sing later this month.
The feature introduces real-time lyrics that dance to the rhythm of the song, separate animation for backup vocals, and a split Duet Lyrics view for duets and multi-singer tracks.
It will also give users adjustable vocals, the ability to adjust and mix the vocal tracks so singers at heart can showcase their ability (or lack of it).
Apple Music Sing will be available to Apple Music subscribers worldwide and can be enjoyed on iPhone, iPad, and the new Apple TV 4K. However, those who don’t have the latest Apple TV 4K are out of luck (for some reason).
For starters, Apple Music Sing will be launched with a suite of more than 50 dedicated playlists that everyone can sing along to.
Although not every song in the Apple Music library is compatible, tens of thousands of songs will have real-time, beat-by-beat lyrics, and about 80% of the most-played music will support adjustable vocals. More will be added each month.
A focus will be placed on songs in English, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, and more.
If you listen to Apple Music on Android, you too will be able to get Apple Music Sing, but you will be limited to only the real-time lyrics. No adjustable vocals for you (for now).
