Introduced to Apple’s workout subscription service earlier this year, Kickboxing has become my go-to workout when I want to close my rings fast and put in some cardio in my daily workouts.
Occasionally, I share my fitness progress in the form of workouts I’ve done on Apple Fitness+. Funny thing is, when I share a Kickboxing workout, it displays how many calories I’ve burned and… distance? I’m sure I did not punch and kick for 1.32km.
So what’s happening? It is probably a bug. To be fair I am using the beta version of iOS, WatchOS, and tvOS. The devices I used Fitness+ on. Of course, I poked Apple about it and it seems they are unsure either.
Just Right
Kickboxing workouts combine the intensity of HIIT workouts and the coordination of Dance workouts. The result is a workout that’s more challenging than dance, but less than HIIT. Alright, it’s not exactly any more difficult or easier than the two other workouts, but it distracts from how difficult it is by focusing on the arrangement of movements.
It also helps that the punch and kicks feel so good, especially in combos. But be warned, it’s the conditioning that will test one’s physical prowess.
