Netflix announced that it is updating the price for its Basic Plan from RM35 per month to RM28 per month. The basic plan allows streaming and downloading to one device at a time and only in HD.

“We know members have never had more choices when it comes to entertainment — and we’re more committed than ever to delivering an experience that doesn’t just meet, but exceeds their expectations,” said Netflix in a statement.

New members will get the new pricing straight away but existing members will only get them in the coming weeks as it is being rolled out. They will be notified by email and the exact timing will depend on the specific member’s billing cycle.
