Synology today announced the release of DSM 7.2, the software that is running on all of their network-connected storage devices.

Of course, with the update comes new features. This includes immutable storage and backup, full-volume encryption, performance improvements, stricter access controls, and storage planning capabilities.

Let’s decrypt these terms.
