2023 Asus Vivobook 15X Launch — Simplified

At the end of May, Asus announced the price and availability of their Vivobook 15X. It comes in two variants: the K3504 has a 13th Gen Intel Core i5-1335U processor, and the M3504 has an AMD Ryzen 7 7730U processor. Both are without OLED displays.

The K3504 is RM3,099, and the M3504 is RM3,199. Both models are said to be available in June.

These are essential laptops with 15.6-in Full HD IPS display, HD webcam, noise reduction, and 512GB of storage. The RAM seems low at only 8GB. It could be upgraded but only to 16GB. Which is average.

The Vivobook 15X is WiFi 6E (802.11ax) compatible and has for ports: two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C and one USB 2.0 Type-A. There’s also a fingerprint reader, an HDMI 1.4 port, a 3.5mm combo jack, and a charging port. That’s one more port than an average laptop nowadays.

Its battery is rated at 42 Wh with fast charging and USB-PD (power delivery).

Of course, the laptop is also beset with Asus branded “stuff”, such as ASUS 3D Noise Reduction (3DNR), ASUS AI noise-cancelling, ASUS SonicMaster tuned in cooperation with Dirac, ASUS Audio Booster, and ASUS WiFi Master, which are all negligible.
