Until 5 November, every Friday and Saturday from 5 to 8pm, Brick-or-Treat returns to LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort with the Monster Party Night. Kids in full costume get to enter for free (under 12 with an accompanying full-paying adult, of course).
I didn’t go to the preview, but according to the folks at LEGOLAND, these are the activities that they have to offer for Halloween this year:
For treats, there’d be the Candy Trail at Lego Kingdom with doors to knock and sweets to collect.
Those in costumes could win LEGO-themed prizes at the Monster Disguise Costume Contest at Lego Kingdoms that’d happen every Saturday.
There’d be live entertainment like the V.I.M (Very Important Monsters) Dance Party hosted by LEGO Lord Vampyre and the Wicked Witches Mash-Up, where they’d brew potions and cast spells.
Kids would also get to meet and take photos with characters that only come out for the Monster party, like LEGO Lord Vampyre, Frankenstein, Witch, and Wizard (although he comes out off-season as well sometimes).
Of course, there’d be building activities like the Build Your Own LEGO Monster and Build Your Own LEGO Pumpkin.
For something more adventurous, there’d also be a Monster Hunt where eight LEGO monsters could be photographed for a prize.
And for something different, whisper “BOO! Fish or Treat” to staff in the Rainforest and Stingray Bay areas at SEA LIFE Malaysia to get a treat.
Finally, the season-exclusive “The Great Monster Chase” 4D Movie would be showing at the 4D theatre in the park.
For a complete list of activities and more information, visit the official website at https://www.legoland.com.my/explore/shows-entertainment/brick-or-treat/.
From what I can tell, it’s a more extensive feature than the launch of LEGO DREAMZzz, but to be fair, the Halloween attraction only happens twice a week and for 3 a day hours only. I hope the Monster Hunt is more involved than taking pictures of placards, and I think the BOO! Fish or Treat is a cute touch.
Knowing LEGOLAND, I’d wager that the seasonal decoration alone would be worth the admission fee for LEGO fans.
