Apple Arcade will turn five this year, and on May 2, three new games will be added to the ad and micro-transaction free subscription service.
The three games are:
- A Slight Chance of Sawblades+: a three-button 2D pixellated sawblade dodging game made by Yong Kian Chin from Singapore.
- Dicey Dungeons+: a unique dice-centric deckbuilding roguelike dungeon crawler made by Irish indie developer Distractionware.
- Summer Pop+: a match-three puzzle game made by Beijing-based Happy Elements studio
Of the three games, I am most excited for Dicey Dungeons+. It got a lot of attention for its fun gameplay loop, unique theme, and original ideas when it was first launched in 2019, the same year Apple Arcade was launched in Malaysia.
Meanwhile, Apple also announced that new content would come to Apple Arcade in April.
On April 15, Hello Kitty Island Adventure players will get the Imagination Celebration in-game event, where they must seek out Mystic Stones before the Spooky Queen Kuromi does to restore joy and magic to the island.
On April 18, the new Sweet Dreams Zone will be introduced to Sonic Dream Team, while Game Room will get the classic game of Checkers.
