The LEGOLAND Water Park opened 11 years ago, a year after the LEGOLAND Theme Park opened. This was the first time I’ve walked through its turnstile.
There are 14 attractions listed at the water park: 8 of them are slides, 2 are pools, 2 more are contraptions, 1 is a play structure, and 1 more is a lazy river.
My favourite was the Build-A-Raft River. The floats were already in the lazy river, so getting in was easy; the many giant rubber LEGO blocks scattered in the lazy river were a lot of fun, and the figures made of LEGO along the lazy river were interesting to look at.
The Joker Soaker is the centrepiece of the LEGOLAND Water Park. The giant bucket that dumps water every 3 minutes is exciting. I also prefer the slides on this play structure instead of the others because there are many to choose from, they are easily accessible, and there is always water spraying everywhere.

The rest of the park was not as interesting to me.
I tried some of the other slides, but a slide is a slide, and I don’t particularly appreciate going up flights of stairs while hauling a floating device just for a short ride.
The pools are fine, but the LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort Hotel has pools too.
Finally, the Imagine Station and Build-a-Boat contraptions show their age despite the new coat of paint. I tried them, but they are not functioning as they should.

While the LEGOLAND Water Park is not for me, I can see it being a pleasant diversion on a hot day for those staying at the LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort Hotel and planning to go to the LEGOLAND Theme Park later in the day when it is cooler.
Younger children may like to stay in the pools longer, while older children would have a larger option of slides to try.
I’d recommend renting one of those private gazebos for those who plan to spend the day at the water park. It comes with a lot of extras like drinks.
As for me, by the time I was done with the park, only 2 hours had passed.
Lunch at the water park

I grabbed lunch before I headed back to the hotel. There are two eateries and one shop at the water park. The Beach Grill serves fried foods and cold treats, while the Brick Cafe serves meals and drinks.
I ordered a fried chicken set at the Beach Grill and saved some for supper. If I had to guess, I would say the fried chicken was frozen pre-made stuff. It was still good, though
My Tips for Visiting the LEGOLAND Water Park
Bring a towel and a change of clothes, even if you stay at the hotel. Showering and changing at the park is much more comfortable than walking all soggy back to the hotel.
Bring a large bottle of drinking water. Staying hydrated is just a good idea, generally. Those staying at the LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort can refill their water bottles with filtered drinking water from the tap in the room.
Wear sunblock. It is just common sense.
Check the weather report. Although it is a water park, rain can still damper things.
This is one of the many posts I plan to make about my experience at LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort Hotel. I stayed there for two nights, from 2024-04-19 to 2024-04-21.
