As the main sponsors, Epson Southeast Asia and Epson Australia announced that entry to the Epson International Pano Awards 2025 is now open. 

Open to professionals and amateurs, the competition was hailed as “one of the largest competitions in the world dedicated to the craft and art of panoramic photography.”

The competition defines panoramic photography as an image with horizontally elongated fields of view, more specifically, a 2:1 ratio.

Early-bird entries were open until Monday, 30 June 2025, and final entries were due by Monday, 21 July 2025. The entry fee was 18 USD (79.45 MYR), and the prize pool was more than 50,000 USD.

Judging would occur from August to September, and the winners would be announced in October 2025.

For an amateur to win the Photographer of the Year Award (top 10), they must submit at least three photos and two of their other images must be in the top 50. 

Computer-generated images and elements, including generative and instructional AI content, are not permitted.

Interestingly, photos taken using film are accepted, and there is a special category for VR photography.
