GWM Malaysia handed over the first locally assembled GWM WEY G9 Hi4 PHEV to singer Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza at its USJ showroom.

The handover follows the model’s January launch at MITEC, where she was named its brand ambassador. She is the vehicle’s first owner in Malaysia.

Chief Operating Officer of GWM Malaysia, Roslan Abdullah, was present at the handover event.

The WEY G9 Hi4 PHEV is a plug-in hybrid MPV with a three-row seating layout. It is priced at RM269,800 (on-the-road without insurance) and assembled locally.

GWM Malaysia reported over 800 bookings in the first week after launch.

GWM entered the Malaysian market in July 2022.
