AMD has expanded its Ryzen AI Embedded P100 series, adding processors with up to twice as many cores and faster AI performance in the same compact size. The chips are aimed at factory machines, robots, and medical scanners.
The processors feature 8 to 12 high-performance cores, updated graphics, and a built-in AI unit for efficient and reliable operation in demanding environments.
The chips are used in:
- Factory systems: Running controls, cameras, and displays together for faster inspections and error detection.
- Mobile robots: Improving navigation and responsiveness with better control of movements and cameras.
- Medical devices: Supporting 3D imaging and image analysis for ultrasounds and scans.
The new chips are up to 39% faster and have more than double the AI capability of earlier models. They support advanced AI programs and can handle multiple tasks at once.
