The LEGO Group announced that 2025 was its most successful year. The company sold more sets than ever, significantly outperforming the rest of the toy industry.
Key Financial Highlights
LEGO saw a 12% increase in total revenue, reaching DKK 83.5 billion. Profits rose as more families and adult collectors bought bricks worldwide.
- Total Sales: Up 16% compared to the previous year.
- Net Profit: Increased to DKK 16.7 billion.
- Global Reach: Sales grew most significantly in Europe and the Americas.
Popular Products and Digital Growth
The company released over 860 products last year. While classic sets like LEGO City and LEGO Star Wars remained favourites, new botanical sets like LEGO flowers and a partnership with Formula 1 attracted many new fans.
On the digital side, the company’s collaboration with the game Fortnite was a major hit, with players spending over 1 billion hours building in the virtual world.
Progress on Sustainability
LEGO is moving away from traditional plastic. In 2025, 52% of materials used to make bricks came from recycled or renewable sources, a big jump from the year before.
The company is nearly finished replacing plastic bags in its boxes with paper ones. Now, 95% of its packaging is made from paper.
“We are happy that more children than ever are playing with LEGO bricks,” said CEO Niels B. Christiansen. He noted that the company plans to keep growing by opening new factories in Vietnam and the United States in the near future.
