Jetour Auto Malaysia launched the Jetour T2 SUV on March 13 in Kuala Lumpur. The model is a boxy, rugged vehicle for on-road use with light off-road capability.

The T2 features a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 180 kW (approximately 245 hp) and 375 Nm of torque. It pairs with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and an all-wheel-drive system (Intelligent XWD) that includes multiple drive modes for different conditions. The vehicle rides on 19-inch alloy wheels with 255/60 R19 tyres.

Key exterior elements include LED headlights, illuminated JETOUR lettering at the front, LED rear lights, and a rear-mounted spare tyre. It is available in three colours: Khaki White, Aviation Silver, and Carbon Black.

The interior has a 15.6-inch central touchscreen supporting wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a voice assistant, a 50W wireless charger, and a 12-speaker Sony audio system. Other features include leatherette seats, ventilated front seats, front seat memory, ambient lighting, and a panoramic sunroof.

Safety equipment includes six airbags, Level 2 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), a 360-degree camera with transparent chassis view, and tyre pressure monitoring. The T2 has received a 5-star rating from ASEAN NCAP.

The SUV is priced at RM156,800 (nett, as announced at launch; on-the-road without insurance is around RM157,669). It comes with a 7-year/150,000 km vehicle warranty and a 10-year/1,000,000 km powertrain warranty. The first 3,000 registered customers receive a RM2,000 cash rebate.

The launch event included a Ramadan buka puasa gathering and the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the Turtle Conservation Society of Malaysia to support sustainability efforts.

Jetour Malaysia was established in April 2024. The T2 is locally assembled (CKD). It means that it was delivered in parts and assembled here.
