Now in its fifth year, the event invites student teams from across the region to demonstrate creativity by designing imaginative theme park attractions using LEGO bricks.
Since its launch in 2022, the competition has grown from a local initiative to a regional platform, attracting hundreds of entries from schools across Asia. Organised with the Education Ministry, this year’s challenge promotes innovation and collaboration among students through hands-on learning.
Student teams of three to four members, categorised as Junior (7–9 years), Primary (10–12 years), and Secondary (13–17 years), must construct unique theme park rides.
Entries must include at least one ride vehicle and earn extra points for incorporating moving elements. Teams also submit a brief written description explaining their concept.
This year’s event was launched in Singapore.
For the first time, the judging panel includes a Singaporean judge, LEGO artist Jeffrey Kong.
The 2026 edition introduces new features, including greater emphasis on the Live Speed Build Finale, which now counts for 30% of the total score. Finalists will have more time to build during this round, and a new build challenge is introduced for parents and teachers.
Winners in the Primary and Secondary categories will receive a trip to LEGOLAND Shanghai, while Junior champions will visit LEGOLAND Malaysia.
All finalists will participate in a live Grand Finale at LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort and have their builds exhibited for park guests. Prizes include annual passes, LEGO sets, trophies, and certificates.
Registration is open from March 13 to April 26, with online submissions accepted from June 8 to 21.
The Grand Finale is scheduled for September 2026 at LEGOLAND Malaysia Resort.
