Samsung Unveils Glasses-Free 3D Gaming Monitors at GDC 2026

At the 2026 Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, Samsung announced plans to expand support for glasses-free 3D gameplay on its Odyssey 3D gaming monitors. The company emphasized upcoming 3D versions of the games Hell is Us and Cronos: The New Dawn, which do not require special glasses.

Samsung is collaborating with game studios to increase the number of 3D-enabled titles available for its monitors.

Hell is Us, an action-adventure horror game, will be released in 3D for Samsung’s monitors in March.

Cronos: The New Dawn, a survival horror game, will be added to the 3D library by the end of the year.

Both games will be accessible through the Samsung Odyssey 3D Hub, which currently supports more than 60 titles.

Samsung also incorporates HDR10+ GAMING technology in its monitors and televisions to enhance picture quality during gameplay.

Samsung has established a partnership with the game studio CD PROJEKT RED to advance display technology.

The companies are collaborating to integrate HDR10+ GAMING into Cyberpunk 2077.

Pearl Abyss’s new game, Crimson Desert, will also include HDR10+ GAMING upon its March launch.

Journalists and industry experts have the opportunity to test the new monitors and experience Hell is Us in 3D at the event.

Samsung is showcasing several Odyssey gaming monitors at the Game Developers Conference, including:

  • – 27-inch Odyssey 3D: a glasses-free 3D monitor, with a 32-inch model scheduled for release later this year.
  • – 32-inch Odyssey OLED G8: features a 4K QD-OLED display with a 240Hz refresh rate.
  • – 32-inch Odyssey G8: a 6K monitor with a 165Hz refresh rate, capable of reaching up to 330Hz at lower resolutions.
  • – 27-inch Odyssey G6: supports refresh rates up to 1,040Hz.

The Odyssey 3D employs eye-tracking technology to adjust the 3D effect in real time, eliminating the need for special glasses.

It features a 165Hz refresh rate and a rapid response time.

Samsung anticipates that its 3D gaming library will exceed 120 titles by the end of 2026.
