Honda Malaysia launched the new CR-V on March 3, introducing two hybrid variants in a single model for the first time.
The e:HEV E and flagship e:HEV RS are now available in Malaysia.
According to Honda Malaysia Managing Director Narushi Yazaki, the new hybrid variant aims to make Honda’s hybrid technology more accessible in the Malaysian market.
Both hybrid variants feature a 2.0L e:HEV powertrain with 184PS and 335Nm of torque. The system switches automatically between EV, Hybrid, and Engine driving modes, and includes an Individual Drive Mode for customised driving.
The new CR-V introduces exterior and interior updates, including a new Blazing Red Pearl colour and standard solar and security tint film on all variants.
Hybrid models come with 18-inch Berlina Black alloy wheels, while the turbocharged variant has Sparkle Silver wheels.
The e:HEV RS variant features a darker dashboard finish and RS-embossed seats.
The new CR-V offers updated technology and safety features across all variants, including:
- A 9-inch display audio system with wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Google services integration;
- Digital Key, allowing owners to lock, unlock, and start the vehicle via mobile device;
- Blind Spot Information (BSI) system;
- Cross Traffic Monitor (CTM).
Pricing (on road without insurance) for the new CR-V is as follows:
- RS 2.0L e:HEV: RM195,900
- V 1.5L Turbocharged: RM181,900
- E 2.0L e:HEV: RM178,200
The new CR-V is now available for viewing and test drives at Honda dealerships nationwide.
