Samsung’s Micro RGB TV Earns Dual German Certifications

Samsung’s Micro RGB TV model R95H has earned two certifications from the German testing institute VDE: one for eye safety and another for supporting the body’s natural sleep-wake cycle.

The Safety for Eyes certification evaluates the display’s light output—including blue light levels—to assess risks from prolonged viewing.

The Circadian Rhythm Display (CRD) certification measures how effectively the screen adjusts its colour temperature and brightness throughout the day to mimic natural light patterns, reducing blue light exposure in the evening and helping minimise disruption to sleep hormones.

These certifications are separate, in-depth assessments based on VDE’s broader EyeCare Circadian programme. Samsung’s Micro RGB TV successfully met the requirements for both certifications.

Samsung has implemented eye-safety certification across its 2026 TV lineup and intends to expand CRD certification to additional models in the future.

The Malaysian market announcement was made on 25 March, following an earlier global launch.
