Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia launched the new Mitsubishi Xforce compact sport utility vehicle in Kuala Lumpur on April 8. The company said it has received 2,600 bookings since February 5.

The vehicle is available in two versions. The Urban variant is priced at RM109,980, and the Ultimate variant at RM119,980. Both prices exclude insurance. The company plans to deliver the first 800 units starting April 8.

The Xforce features a 1.5-litre engine with a continuously variable transmission. It has four driving modes for different road conditions: Normal, Wet, Gravel, and Mud. The vehicle has a ground clearance of 222mm and a stability system called Active Yaw Control.

Internal features include a 12.3-inch display screen, an eight-speaker sound system, and a dual-zone air conditioning system with air purification. Safety technology includes a collision-mitigation system, adaptive cruise control, and blind-spot warning.

Mitsubishi extended an early-booking promotion until April 12. It includes an RM5,000 cash rebate and free labour for three service appointments. Existing owners qualify for an additional RM1,000 loyalty rebate.
