Sony Interactive Entertainment announced “The Playerbase” program on April 8, which will feature a fan’s likeness in a PlayStation Studios game. The program begins with Gran Turismo 7 and plans to expand into other titles.
According to the company, one participant will be selected to appear as an in-game character portrait for a limited time. The chosen individual will also travel to a Los Angeles studio to be scanned and help design a custom logo and vehicle livery for the game’s permanent showcase menu.
The application process opened today at 7:00AM PT on the official PlayStation website. Applicants must sign in with a PlayStation account ID and answer questions regarding their history with the platform. The company will select a group of finalists for video interviews before choosing the final participant.
The program is available to users in select markets across the Americas, Europe, Asia, South Africa, and Australia.
