OSK Foundation distributed aid to welfare homes and underprivileged groups for Hari Raya Aidilfitri this year as it completed a decade of its Gifts of Hope programme.
According to the foundation, the programme has provided aid to nearly 30,000 people and spent more than RM440,000 since it began. For this year’s Hari Raya, the foundation gave RM21,150 to more than 180 individuals across seven organisations in Kuantan, Melaka, Seremban, Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru, Penang and Kedah. The aid included new Raya clothing, seasonal treats and new mattresses for residents.
OSK Group volunteers also worked with Feeding the Needy to distribute iftar meals, festive packages and daily essentials to 310 people in the Chow Kit area of Kuala Lumpur. The foundation was established in May 2015 as the philanthropic arm of OSK Group.
