ASUS announces Chromebook CM14

ASUS announced the Chromebook CM14 on May 7 and said the 14-inch laptop runs on ChromeOS with a MediaTek Kompanio 540 processor.

ASUS said the laptop supports up to 8GB of LPDDR5X-6400 memory and up to 128GB of eMMC storage. ASUS stated it includes a 14-inch WUXGA display, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C ports, one HDMI 1.4b port, one USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A port, and a 3.5mm audio jack.

ASUS said the Chromebook CM14 starts at 1.32 kilograms. ASUS reported dimensions of 31.37 x 22.61 x 1.56 centimetres.

ASUS said the device comes in Platinum Silver, Forest Blue, and Blue Aura. ASUS stated the model includes a 180-degree hinge and optional touchscreen support.

ASUS said battery options are 42Wh, 50Wh, and 70Wh. ASUS reported up to 23 hours of battery life.

ASUS said the Chromebook CM14 includes WiFi 6E or WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. ASUS stated the device includes a NuvoTitan security chip, stereo speakers, and integrated microphones.

ASUS said the laptop met MIL-STD-810H testing standards. ASUS announced a three-month Google AI Pro trial with Gemini, NotebookLM, and 5TB of cloud storage for eligible devices.
