SEMICON SEA Closes Kuala Lumpur Event

SEMI said SEMICON Southeast Asia 2026 concluded in Kuala Lumpur on May 12 and highlighted Southeast Asia’s role in the semiconductor industry.

SEMI said the three-day event drew nearly 20,000 attendees from more than 57 countries and regions. It said 700 companies exhibited across 1,519 booths and 10 pavilions.

SEMI said the event focused on IC design, advanced packaging, intelligent manufacturing, sustainability, talent and supply chain resilience. It said more than 105 speakers joined leadership, technology and business programmes.

SEMI said Malaysia supported the event through MITI and MIDA. It said the event aligned with Malaysia’s National Semiconductor Strategy, which aims to attract more than RM500 billion.

SEMI said the intelligent manufacturing showcase drew more than 400 visitors. It said workforce programmes engaged more than 800 students.

SEMI is a global industry association for the semiconductor and electronics supply chain.
