IHG Hotels & Resorts plans to introduce all six of its Luxury & Lifestyle brands in Saudi Arabia by 2028, expanding in a key growth market aligned with Vision 2030.
IHG said hotels for each Luxury & Lifestyle brand were already open or in the pipeline in Saudi Arabia, which it described as one of its most important global growth markets. The company first entered the Kingdom in 1975 with InterContinental Riyadh.
IHG reported 48 open hotels and 62 in the pipeline in Saudi Arabia across Luxury & Lifestyle, Premium, Essentials and Suites segments. It said this breadth allowed it to serve domestic, religious, business and leisure travel.
Kimpton KAFD Riyadh recently opened, marking the Kimpton brand’s Middle East debut. Six Senses Southern Dunes, The Red Sea opened in December 2023, with additional Six Senses properties at Amaala and AlUla scheduled for 2026 and 2027.
IHG said Regent Jeddah Corniche was due to open in 2027 as the first Regent in Saudi Arabia and the wider region. Hotel Indigo & Residences Al Khobar is expected to open in 2028, introducing the Hotel Indigo brand to the Kingdom.
The company said it established a dedicated Riyadh office in 2023 to support owner relationships and hotel performance. It stated Saudi Arabia aimed to attract 150 million visitors by 2030 and become a leading tourism destination.
