Proton e.MAS on August 7, 2026 announced that it became Malaysia’s fastest automotive brand to reach 31,504 xEV registrations on July 31, 2026, within 20 months of launching the e.MAS 7.

Domestic registrations accounted for 30,293 units, while international exports reached 1,211 units. In 2026 alone, brand registrations exceeded 20,000 units.

Model deliveries included 13,279 units of the e.MAS 5, 12,068 units of the e.MAS 7, and 4,946 units of the e.MAS 7 PHEV.

PROTON invested RM37 million to expand its EV plant capacity from 20,000 to 42,000 units annually. All three models are assembled locally.
