Apple Original Films released the teaser trailer for “Being Heumann,” directed by Siân Heder, ahead of its Toronto International Film Festival premiere on Wednesday, September 2.

The feature film chronicles disability rights advocate Judy Heumann leading a group of young adults fighting against discrimination in 1977. Ruth Madeley plays Heumann, while Mark Ruffalo portrays a government official during a federal building occupation.

The movie will open at the Toronto International Film Festival premiere on September 10. It will release in select theatres on November 6, 2026, and premiere on Apple TV on November 13, 2026.

This project marks the second collaboration between Apple Original Films and director Siân Heder, who previously directed the Academy Award-winning film “CODA.”
