Sunway Healthcare Group officially launched Sunway Medical Centre Damansara on Thursday, October 1, following the hospital’s initial commencement of operations in December 2024.

Selangor Chief Minister Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari officiated the launch ceremony for the tertiary hospital located in Kota Damansara. The facility features over 300 beds, 60 specialist consultation suites, and eight operating theatres.

Sunway Healthcare Group President Datuk Lau Beng Long announced expansion plans covering four acres. Proposed additions include senior living facility Sunway Sanctuary and a Cancer and Nuclear Medicine Centre.

The hospital achieved its first EBITDA-positive month nine months after opening. Network additions will include the Sunway Traditional Chinese Medicine Centre in early 2027.
