IKEA Malaysia released its first nationwide home organisation survey on Friday and announced weekend in-store events running from October 10 to November 1.

The IKEA Home Organisation Index survey of 506 Malaysian adults found that 10% of respondents said they genuinely need more home space. Sentimental items and keepsakes were named by 40% of respondents as the hardest items to organise. Additionally, one in three respondents stated that differing household needs make getting organised more difficult.

The retailer announced its “Sorted Lah!” campaign featuring over 1,000 products priced under RM10. Country Retail Director Takeshi Murai stated that good storage is independent of home size.

IKEA stores in Damansara, Cheras, Tebrau, and Batu Kawan will host open house events every weekend from October 10 to November 1, 2026. The events include a storage competition called The Sorting Escape, which requires advance online booking starting October 8.
