09.18 (Friday) — Seiko has launched the Astron GPS Solar Dual-Time Chronograph series, consisting of three titanium timepieces powered by the Caliber 5X63 movement.
The pure-titanium models measure 43.4 mm in diameter and 12.4 mm in thickness. They provide GPS satellite signal reception, solar power generation, and 10 atm water resistance.
The watches incorporate a two-piece octagonal bezel to reduce structural height and accommodate an internal antenna. A semi-transparent resin dial permits light transmission to the solar cell.
A guarded push-button mechanism on the case back enables users to alternate between titanium bracelets and silicone straps. The HAB001 features a bluish-grey dial, while the HAB002 and HAB003 possess black dials.
