11.05 (THU) — National carmaker PROTON announced the 2027 PROTON S70 RS on Thursday as the official name for its upcoming updated sedan model.

The updated model features a redesigned grille, new bumpers, a rear diffuser, quad exhaust tips, and 17-inch alloy wheels with red brake callipers. Inside, the cabin contains a dual-tone layout, floating centre console, ambient lighting, and revised controls.

The sedan is powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, delivering a zero to 100 km/h acceleration time of 7.5 seconds.

S70 range sales reached 5,367 units in October 2026, bringing total sales for the first 10 months of the year to 26,076 units.

PROTON will hold a fashion showcase on 10 November 2026 to present the vehicle line-off before its official commercial launch.
