POCO said it launched the POCO M8s 5G on April 20, as a smartphone with a 7,000mAh battery, a 6.9-inch display, and 5G support.

POCO said in a statement issued in Beijing that the POCO M8s 5G includes 33W fast charging and 18W reverse charging. 

The company said the phone has an FHD+ (an extended screen resolution) display with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz and TÜV Rheinland eye-care certification. 

POCO said the device uses the Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 Mobile Platform and supports up to 16GB of RAM via memory extension, along with up to 2TB of expandable storage. 

The company said the phone runs Xiaomi HyperOS and supports Google Gemini and Circle to Search with Google, subject to availability and compatibility. 

POCO said the device includes a 50MP AI dual-camera system, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and is IP64-rated for dust- and water-resistance. 

The company said the phone will be sold in White and Black and in two variants: 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB. 

POCO did not state pricing in the announcement and said availability may vary by market and sales channel.
