UMW Toyota Motor announced the Yaris Cross in Malaysia on May 8 with petrol and hybrid variants.

UMW Toyota Motor said the petrol variant starts at RM99,900 and the hybrid variant starts at RM109,900. The company said customers can book both variants at authorised Toyota dealerships nationwide.

UMW Toyota Motor stated that the Yaris Cross will add a hybrid option to its B-SUV lineup in Malaysia. The company said it will assemble the model at its Bukit Raja facility.

UMW Toyota Motor reported the petrol variant uses a 2NR-VE engine with a CVT transmission. The company stated the hybrid variant uses a 2NR-VEX engine and an electric motor with a total system output of 82 kW.

UMW Toyota Motor said the Yaris Cross has a cargo capacity of 471 litres. The company stated the vehicle includes a 7-inch TFT digital meter display and a 10.1-inch display audio system.

UMW Toyota Motor announced the model includes Toyota Safety Sense, Blind Spot Monitor, and Rear Cross Traffic Alert. The company said it supports owners through more than 100 service centres nationwide.
