Proton e.MAS Holds Women-led EV Drive in Janda Baik

Proton e.MAS held its women-led “Real e.MAS Drive” in Janda Baik on May 21.

Proton e.MAS said the 2026 event marked the return of “The Real e.MAS Drive” under the “Zoom to Bloom” theme. It said the programme was held during Women’s Health Month. It said participants drove the Proton e.MAS 7 and Proton e.MAS 7 PHEV.

The company said the drive began at the Proton Centre of Excellence. Participants followed a route with checkpoints designed to simulate real-world EV usage. At Sentosa Janda Baik, they joined a floral arrangement workshop using modern ikebana techniques.

Proton e.MAS said a live fast-charging demonstration showed how quick charging could fit daily routines. It said both models emphasised low running and maintenance costs, intelligent energy management, and user-friendly technology. It said the Proton e.MAS 7 PHEV offered hybrid flexibility for longer-range driving.

The company said participants also viewed the Jade Green Proton e.MAS 5. It said the Proton e.MAS 7 PHEV offered up to 528L of boot space, expandable beyond 2,000L. It said the Proton e.MAS 7 range started at RM99,800, after a RM4,000 Welcome Benefit.

Proton e.MAS said the lineup included a 15.4-inch 2.5K infotainment display, Level 2 ADAS, and 100kW DC fast charging. It said charging from 30% to 80% took 20 minutes. It said the Proton e.MAS 7 PHEV Prime was priced at RM105,800, after a RM4,000 Welcome Benefit.

The company said the Proton e.MAS 7 PHEV Prime used EM-i Advanced Hybrid Technology. It said the model offered a total driving range exceeding 1,000 km and fuel consumption of 4.3L/100km. It said the customer base had surpassed 20,000 vehicles on the road in just over a year.
