Apple TV says its eight-episode comedy series “Brothers,” starring Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, debuts globally September 23, 2026, with two episodes and weekly releases through November 4.

Apple TV announced the release schedule on June 18, 2026. The series was produced by Paramount Television Studios and showrun by Lee Eisenberg.

McConaughey and Harrelson starred in and executive-produced the series. The cast also included Natalie Martinez, Brittany Ishibashi, Nolan Almeida, Ella Grace Helton, Noah Carganilla, Highdee Kuan, Oona Yaffe and Holland Taylor.

Apple said the series follows fictionalised versions of McConaughey and Harrelson after a decades-old secret emerged that they might be brothers. The story included a stay at McConaughey’s Austin ranch and a possible Texas governor run.

Executive producers also included Natalie Sandy, David West Read, Trish Hofmann, Bill Bost, Jason Winer, David Finkel, Brett Baer and Jeremy Plager. Trent O’Donnell directed multiple episodes, including the pilot.
